Show Your Moves, Tennessee!
Our inaugural virtual dance competition invites performers in twelve dynamic styles—Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Hip Hop/Urban, Jazz, Ballroom, Contemporary, Ethnic/Folk/Traditional, Lyrical, Swing, Musical Theatre, and Modern—to compete for cash prizes and statewide recognition.
Submit your one-minute YouTube video and show Tennessee what you've got!
Five dynamic categories await: Individual, Duo/Trio, Group, Seniors (65+), and Juniors (younger than 12).
Public voting begins April 14, with winners advancing to our live online finale on May 21. Category winners will star in our promotional video, while the grand champions—Tennessee's Favorite Dance Crew and Judge's Choice—will each take home $350! Every participant receives a TAD tee shirt, but the real reward? Being part of Tennessee's dance renaissance while helping us expand programming for dancers statewide!
Tennessee Association of Dance (TAD) was chartered in 1971 to encourage, support and promote the development of dance. We are a 501(c)3 service organization that operates as the primary voice for advocacy, education, leadership, advancement, and policy for the art form and its constituencies in Tennessee.
By means of this website, TAD offers information to the general public about dance events and activities; dance related organizations and businesses with special emphasis on our members; community involvement opportunities; dance history; as well as government issues of local, state and national importance to those in the field.
Our members, via a special membership portal, will be able to get information about employment opportunities, auditions, master classes and workshops, doctors who work with dancers, and more. This information will provide members with an assortment of opportunities to grow their skills, network, perform, teach, gain employment, learn, heal, promote themselves, support the dance community, get involved, and be an advocate.
