School of Nashville Ballet: Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet Discovery Project

Nashville’s dance community. School of Nashville Ballet is thrilled to be hosting Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet January 11-14, 2018 for their Discovery Project, a four-day intensive workshop open to ages 11-25. Dancers will explore Ballet, Partnering, Modern, Improvisation, Choreography, and LINES Ballet Repertoire.

The Alonzo King LINES Ballet is a celebrated contemporary ballet company that has been guided since 1982 by the unique artistic vision of Alonzo King. Alonzo King understands ballet as a science – founded on universal, geometric principles of energy and evolution – and continues to develop a new language of movement from its classical forms and techniques. Alonzo King’s visionary choreography, brought to life by the extraordinary LINES Ballet dancers, is renowned for connecting audiences to a profound sense of shared humanity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for dancers within our community, and we hope you will help us to spread the word. Attached you will find a flyer that includes registration information, dates, faculty, and more. Please feel free to share it with your students, post it on your studio bulletin board, and share it with anyone who may be interested. Advanced online registration is required, and is through Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet’s website at: The registration fee is $250 and covers all four days.
