Tennessee Dance Festival Spotlight Concert

For Professional, Pre-Professional, University Companies & Solo Performers

TAD thanks the Spotlight 2018 company performers:

The Cathie Ault Kasch Student Choreography Project is designed to encourage leadership, creativity, and collaboration for TAD student members between the ages of 16-22 during the Tennessee Dance Festival. The adjudicated lunchtime concert returns this year, providing a performing outlet to support student choreographic work. The feedback session, led by the same faculty adjudicators, is designed to give choreographer's objective, supportive input on their work and direction to hone their abilities. Monetary awards will be given to the top three works as adjudicated on the Saturday concert.

Summer Study Scholarship and College Audition Application

Two $1,000 Scholarships for summer study will be awarded this year to dance students between the ages of 14-22.  TAD's Allegro and Allegra Scholarships are awarded at TAD's annual Tennessee Dance Festival. Festival Faculty Members from outside Tennessee adjudicate an audition class in ballet, modern, and jazz technique. Each winner must use his/her award to attend an intensive national summer program. Some programs attended by previous winners are UNC North Carolina School of the Arts, American Dance Festival, Alonzo King LINES Ballet School, Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Bates Dance Festival, and the Julliard School.

College and institution Auditions

Colleges and institutions attend auditions to offer placement and scholarships in current summer and yearly programs. Visit the Colleges and Institutions page to see an updated list of those attending.
